More about me:
I'm a creative designer with a passion for problem-solving and finding solutions that meet the needs of users. I believe that design can make a positive impact on people's lives, specifically for users, and I approach every project with this mindset.
What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to advocating for the people who aren't in the room - the users. I always keep the end-user in mind, striving to create experiences that are inclusive, accessible, and effective. For me, it's not just about finding quick solutions- it's about understanding the "why" behind each problem and finding ethical solutions that benefit everyone. I'm not afraid to ask questions and dive deep to understand the root cause of the problem. Whether I'm designing a website, a brand identity, or a marketing campaign, I always strive to approach it with this mindset.
With over 10 years of experience in different design industries and experience with packaging design, publication design, web, UX, photography, marketing, and leadership, I've worked on a wide range of projects over the years, ranging from small business branding to large-scale marketing campaigns for enterprise clients. One of my strengths is my efficiency- being able to adapt to new environments and processes quickly, while ensuring that every project I work on meets the highest standards.
I've also had the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, where I've been able to leverage my strong communication skills to ensure that every project is a success. My responsibilities in these roles have included conducting user research, creating wireframes, developing high-fidelity prototypes, and producing visual designs. I've also provided design direction and oversight to other team members, ensuring that all deliverables are of the highest quality.
With a degree in Graphic Design (Branding) from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising with Magna Cum Laude honors, I've had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects over the years. I'm a team player, but also enjoy working independently for various projects or clients.
On a personal note, I was born in Kyoto and raised with Japanese parents in Southern California. My Japanese background inspires many of my hobbies, passions, and sources of inspiration, and I feel grateful to be able to enjoy both cultures.
I'm excited to bring my passion for problem-solving and user-centered design to any project or team, and to make an impact for users through my work.
